DAY 2: SIDI BOU SAID - CARTHAGE – TUNIS MEDINA (UNESCO) - BARDO – SIDI BOU SAID
After breakfast, drive to Sidi Bou Said: The white and blue village under the UNESCO protection thanks to its Turkish, Spanish Andalusian and Arabic styles of architecture mixed together. Sidi Bou Said is the village of the artists’ inspiration, musicians and celebrities. People go there to enjoy the beach, the shisha cafes, the light breeze, and the peaceful atmosphere that is a much needed break from the chaos of the capitalto.
Continue to visit the archeological site of Carthage: The greatest power of the Mediterranean basin for centuries, the capital of Tunisia for hundreds of years, the granary of Rome, the city of the best sailors and the rich Murex makers.The home land of the great general Hannibal and the first archeological site placed under a strict UNESCO protection. The Tophet, the Byrsa hill, the Punic ports, the baths, the amphitheatre & the theatre are the most important monuments visitors can easily visit today.
Drive to the old Medina of Tunis. Tunis is made up of two enclaves, the old town or Medina and the new town, built by the French as their administrative headquarters, a role it continues to fulfill today for modern Tunisia. The Medina was founded by the first Arab conquerors and it is full of monuments from both the Arab and Turkish periods, not least the Great Mosque built by the Aghlabid dynasty in the eighth century AD.
Continue to the Bardo National Museum. It is one of the most important museums in the Mediterranean region and the second museum of the African continent after the Egyptian Museum of Cairo by richness of its collections. It traces the history of Tunisia over several millennia and across several civilizations through a wide variety of archaeological pieces. Return to your hotel of stay and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to visit Kairouan, a purely Arab city filled with outstanding examples of the finest Islamic architecture in Tunisia: the Great Mosque of OKBA, the oldest place of worship in North Africa, and the mausoleum of Sidi Sahabi, a companion and a disciple of the Prophet Mohamed. We will see the impressive pools built in the 9th century to collect and store winter rainwater. We reach the Medina (old town), the ancient market place encircled by 11th-century walls. Then a walking guided tour through workshops and visit the three doors mosque, Barrouta well and the Andalusian part of the Medina.
Continue to El Jem where you’ll discover one of the best preserved and largest in the entire Roman Empire, the amphitheater of El Jem is a major symbol of the height of Roman Africa, which added its own particular touch to Roman culture. It is also a prime example of the best of Roman architecture, and sheds valuable light on those moments of collective madness that constituted the Roman games.
End of the day transfer to Hammamet city. Check-in at your hotel and overnight
DAY 4 : HAMMAMET – MONASTIR - SOUSSE MEDINA– PORT EL KANTAOUI - HAMMAMET
After breakfast, drive Monastir city, a popular seaside resort, between Medina and sandy beaches.
Visit the old town, haggle in the souks, stroll along the seafront facing the Marina.
Visit to the monument which gives the city its fame: its large Ribat. This Middle Age fortress is a real labyrinth of courtyards and round and square towers.
Continue to the touristic city of Sousse and visit of the old Medina and the Marina of port El Kantaoui. You can take a ride with catamaran if the weather permetted (optioanl), then departure to Hammamet. Check-in at your hotel of stay and overnight.
Lunch : at restaurant La Fiesta Sousse
Enjoy a menu of grilled fish topped with a delicious mixture of Tunisian flavors : harissa, olives, capers
After breakfast, drive to Nabeul lies 18km north of Hammamet and is considered the capitol administrative city of Cap Bon, the Nabeul Governorate. The history of the town goes back to the Roman times, when it was called 'Neapolis'. Widely known as the capital of pottery and ceramics manufacturing, Nabeul is also a center for the production of garum, a seasoning for all sorts of food. Make sure you get there on Fridays when the town's weekly souk (market) is held, offering a wide range of wonderful Tunisian stuff on souvenir and tourist stalls.
Return to your hotel of stay, free afternoon for relaxing.
